Should I register my work with the WGA before sending it in to you?

When you send your script or any form of intellectual property into us to review, we don’t claim any copyright over it at all during the process.

Everything that’s sent in to us remains 100 percent the author’s intellectual property, and we will under no circumstances release, or let your script be viewed, by any third party without your prior consent.

However, for peace of mind, we do recommend that you copyright your work before sending it out into the world in general. Here’s a blog post from an entertainment lawyer we work with on this subject that you may find helpful: How to Copyright a Script and Other Legal Pitfalls to Avoid.
